Bovada Live Dealer Blackjack Reddit

Since u/blackjackcounter used Bovada's closing lines, I will continue to use it. You can verify these lines at sbrodds.com. Assuming a -120 payout for 2-team teasers, we must demonstrate better than 73.9% probability on each leg to show we have breakeven-or-better EV. Bovada’s Live Casino is currently home to 19 Visionary iGaming tables playing blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Standard 7-seat blackjack plays at as many as 13 with table limits of $5-$100, $10-$500, $15-$750, $25-$1,000 and $100-$2,500. When there are no seats available, one can make bets on other player’s hands by using back betting feature. Beware: Live dealer blackjack on betonline and bovada is rigged (which you probably already know) As confirmed by another poster here who used to work at these live dealer online casinos, there are at least two scanners in the shoe allowing the dealer to know at minimum what card is directly up next. Live Dealer has launched at Bovada Casino. Play your favorite casino table games with attractive, live dealers for a shot at winning real money. Interact with the dealers and other players as you play online Blackjack, online Roulette and online Baccarat. Bovada has been a little bit late in offering live dealer games but they finally have them now as of March 2018. The software utilized is Visionary iGaming and the games include: Live Blackjack; Live Roulette; Live Baccarat; Super 6.

Bovada group (Slots LV, Ignition, Café casino) is without a doubt the most reputable online gambling company on the US market. Their casinos, poker and sports betting products are on another compared to the competition.

But one thing was missing and that’s live dealer tables. Now finally, Bovada added live dealer roulette, baccarat, and blackjack to their site and the sister casinos are soon to follow.

Naturally, we will focus on blackjack. So let’s see how Bovada live dealer blackjack has to offer: rules, game options and of course the winning odds. The games are brought by Vig (Visionary iGaming) company.

Rules

  • Played with six decks that are shuffled manually.
  • The Dealer hits on soft 17 hands.
  • Split once.
  • Split Aces get one more card.
  • Double any two cards.
  • Double after Split is allowed.
  • Late surrender available.

Notice, that if you don’t choose an action within the allotted time, an action will be chosen for you according to basic strategy.

Payouts

Blackjack pays 3/2.

The payout for the Pairs side bet is 11:1.

The payout for the Rummy bet is 9:1.

Returns (House Edge)

Under these rules, the expected return is 99.42% (0.58% house edge). It’s very solid for live dealer blackjack, however it is below Bovada’s video blackjack games. For example their Single Deck has only 0.1% house edge (with $25 min bet), while their Double Deck blackjack has 0.24% house edge.

The minimum bet here is $10. The maximum bet per hand is $3000, which should satisfy all our high roller blackjack players.

Side bets

The game offers two side-bets called Pairs and Rummy. Those are basically simplified versions of Perfect Pairs and 21+3 Blackjack.

Pairs: you will get 9:1 payout if your initial cards are of the same rank. It doesn’t matter if they are the same colour or suit.

Rummy: you will get 11:1 payout if your initial two cards and the dealer card form a Rummy, which is a straight, flush or three of a kind.

Naturally, the house edge of both side bets is much higher than the base game.

Additional Features & Things to notice

Bonus use: One important thing to notice is that you can play live dealer games only with your deposited funds, which means that those bets won’t contribute towards bonus WR (wagering requirements) completion.

Back Betting: The game comes with back betting option. What that means is that you can place a bet on a certain player. However, you have no control over his decisions and you simply follow his game play. If he surrenders – you surrendered. If he doubles up – you doubled up.

I consider myself a pretty decent black jack player, but when you are betting only $10 a hand and find yourself $600 down in an hour something is wrong. Like the dealer getting 10 blackjacks and they finally throw you one. Everytime you get a 20 the bastard gets a 21. Doubling down on 10 or 11 only gets you 12-15. If you have a hard 13-16 and the dealer has a small card showing and you stand, you lose and if you hit you still lose. All this happened at the double deck table where the dealer stands on a soft 17. These n*****s are nothing but rip-off artists and I'm going to prove it.

Hi michael,
I realize you're quite frustrated (rightfully so) and think that bovada blackjack is cheating (quite possible)... but in order to make that kind of claim you need a little something called PROOF. You'd need to record your hands, preferably on video, and you'd need to play thousands of hands so that we could do the math on the Wins/Losses/Pushes and check your EV +/- SD's. At that point we could conclude with evidence that you're ether the victim of a short term bad run blowing off some steam, or if you have actually in fact been cheated. I personally have lost for months, with a teammate as well, to a non stop flow of dealer 21's when we have 20, etc, etc, etc. Not to mention we played thousands of hands over months where as you played maybe 500-600 hands over a course of hours... very short term and non conclusive. It DOES happen in real blackjack and COULD happen online. Thus, you must have some kind of PROOF to make these claims.
Either way the derogatory comments you used are inappropriate and will result in a little vacation from the forums for you... So hopefully you use that time to cool off and think about a better way going about discussing it, or proving it.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

First, warning given for profanity. Next time you'll get a suspension.
Second, in an hour if you played fast you could bet 600 hands. That would have a standard deviation of 28.17 units.
Let's assume you can expect to lose 3 from the house edge. The probability of losing another 57 due to bad luck is 2.02 standard deviations. The probability of luck that bad or worse is 2.15%. So it could easily be bad luck and that is what I believe.
If you have other evidence, let's see it. I prefer to see exact numbers. If you claim something happens 'every time,' then please state the sample size.
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.

I can live with 'bastard' but am masking the n word.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Here is some advice... Don't EVER play digital table games online and expect to win. You should know better. Just bet sports where the outcomes are real life or go to a local casino for live games. There are also some sites that have live black jack. Perhaps they are legitimate, but I would have my suspicions there as well.

Any game is beatable if you play a short enuff sesh.

You should redefine that... You can walk away a winner if you play a short enough sesh and have any kind of chance to win a hand/event... but that doesn't make a game 'beatable' as the math is still quite against you. Making a game 'beatable' implies (at least to me) that you have the advantage and/or a positive expectation in value from the game.
