The Lucky Beaver is a 24 hours sports bar on the Nevada side of the lake that also offers video poker and a large menu full of great burgers, sandwiches, salads and an appetizer menu with chicken wings and the famous Tower of Onion Rings. All of the Lucky Beaver's 1/2 lb. burgers are made with a combination of short ribs and chuck roast and are tall and juicy. The classic Beaver Burger is only $12 with all the fixings and the Gambler with applewood smoked bacon, beer-battered onion rings, smoky BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese is $14. The hotel boasts 539 rooms as well as multiple restaurants, bars, outdoor venues and the largest outdoor pool area in South Lake Tahoe. The casino's restaurants and bars include Park Prime featuring features local grass-fed beef, premium seafood and specialty cocktails. The Center Bar is located in the heart of the casino and is the place to be seen as is the Oyster Bar. The bar's stage featured nightly music and a large LED screen to watch concerts and videos.

The Crystal Bay Casino has been voted one of the best casinos in the Lake Tahoe area, but they don't let it go to their head. This casual and friendly casino on the North Shore has become known for its excellent selection of live shows as well as for their lively casino. Many locals hang out at the Crystal Bay on the weekends to enjoy the numerous entertainment that the Crystal Bay books. Acts include legends like Dick Dale and Los Lonely Boys as well as fun bands like Lil Brian and the Zydeco Travelers, the White Buffalo, Super Diamond and Tainted Love. California has issued a mandatory Stay-At-Home order for much of the state, including the area of the Tahoe region that is in California. This means that people are requested to remain at their homes when at all possible and when not conducting essential activities such as getting food or groceries or attending health appointments. It also means that the California side of the Tahoe region is, in essence, closed to tourists and vacationers until further notice. Hotels and lodging providers cannot accept any reservations, either in-state or out-of-state, for any non-essential travel. Ski areas can remain in operation, under certain restrictions. Restaurants can offer take-out service only. Virtually any other business that is not deemed an essential service is closed, with the exceptions of retail shopping (which can operate at 20% of capacity) and fitness centers (which can operate outdoors only). On the Nevada side, the governor has extended what was intended to be a three-week pause and the resulting restrictions will now be in place through January 15. These protocols mean that private gatherings are limited to no more than 10 people, no more than two households and a mask is required anytime you are around anyone not from your household, whether you are inside or outside. Public gatherings are now limited to 25 people or 25% of the facility's maximum capacity, included for religious organizations, and masks are required. Restaurants are restricted to serving reservation-only meals for in-person dining (except for fast-food restaurants or food courts), the number of people is reduced from 50% of capacity to 25% of capacity and a maximum of four people can be seated at any table. At facilities for dance or fitness, numbers are reduced to 25% capacity and masks must be worn, even while exercising or performing strenuous activity. The following businesses must reduce numbers to 25% of capacity, including casinos, arcades, galleries, bowling alleys, libraries and museums. Nevada's new restrictions do not impact current regulations regarding certain businesses or locations including community centers, stores and shops, barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, tattoo and piercing shops, massage parlors, spas and medicinal cannabis dispensaries. Restaurants
The restaurants on the California side of the Tahoe region, including bars and breweries that also offer food, are now limited to outdoor operations only, which can include delivery and curbside service. On the Nevada side of the lake, restaurants are open for indoor dining with a cap of 25% of capacity and with a maximum party size of four people at a table. Bars and breweries are closed, but drinks can be served at the table with your meal. Shops
Retail shops are allowed to be open for in-store shopping, but the number of people allowed inside the stores is drastically reduced. Social distancing and caution while shopping are still the guidelines by which to operate, along with 6-foot distancing, and face covers are required for everyone including employees and customers.

Ski resorts on both sides of the California/Nevada border are allowed to operate under modified restrictions, such as no on-site food and beverage service. In California, venues such as museums, movie theaters, tasting rooms and personal care services are closed. In Nevada, similar venues are allowed to operate at 25% of maximum capacity, whether based indoors or outdoors.
Casinos
On the Nevada side of the lake, the casinos will now operate under new restrictions imposed by the extended safety protocols mandating that the number of people be limited to no more than 25% of the maximum capacity of the business, with strict limits on how many people can be playing at any given card table or table game and social-distancing practices such as keeping every other slot or video game vacant. Surfaces of the machines and common areas are sanitized on a rigorous schedule as are the dice, chips and other tools of the trade. Lodging providers in the California part of the Tahoe area are currently unable to accept reservations for non-essential travel, whether from in-state or out-of-state. In Nevada, providers are allowed to provide lodging for leisure travel, with health and safety protocols in place.

Best Casino In Lake Tahoe Area
The same non-essential travel restrictions that impact California hotels and motels apply to the California vacation rental market, but there is an additional aspect to the regional Stay-At-Home order that may be more applicable to the vacation rental market; out-of-state reservations for non-essential travel may be accepted if the reservation is for an amount of time longer than the required quarantine period AND the travelers will be in quarantine for that amount of time. The Nevada market is currently less restrictive, but no matter which side of the Tahoe area you might be eyeing, the best idea is to book as early as you can and as far out as possible.
